1

Who runs Froggity

Froggity is the website brand for froggity.com, a children’s reading, creativity, and entertainment website offering stories, comics, poems, games, printables, coloring pages, and reading activities.

Froggity is operated by the person or organization responsible for the website. For privacy questions, requests, or concerns, contact contact@froggity.com.

2

Children’s privacy

Froggity is made for children and families. We therefore try to avoid asking children for personal information unless it is genuinely needed for a feature and appropriate protections are in place.

  • Children do not need an account or profile to use Froggity’s public content.
  • We do not ask children to provide a home address, school name, phone number, password, payment information, government ID, or similar sensitive details to read stories or use public activities.
  • The Contact page is intended mainly for parents, guardians, teachers, other adults, and visitors who can provide information appropriately.
  • If you are a child, please ask a parent, guardian, teacher, or another trusted adult before sending personal information through the website or by email.
Parents and guardians: if you believe a child has sent Froggity personal information that should not have been provided, email contact@froggity.com. We will review the request and take appropriate action.

If Froggity later adds a feature that needs personal information from children, we will review the feature and add any notice, consent, age-related, or parental controls required before that feature is made available.

Information we may receive

Information you choose to send

If you contact Froggity, we may receive the name, email address, message, and other information you choose to include. Please send only what is needed for us to understand and respond to your message.

Basic technical information

The website, hosting provider, security tools, and web server may automatically handle basic technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This may include an IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, date and time information, error logs, and security logs.

We do not use this policy to claim that Froggity collects “no data at all,” because ordinary website hosting and security can involve this limited technical information.

4

Why we use information

We may use information only for purposes such as:

  • delivering, maintaining, and protecting Froggity;
  • responding to a message, question, feedback, or support request;
  • finding and fixing technical problems;
  • preventing spam, abuse, fraud, or security problems;
  • understanding general website performance when an appropriate analytics setup is used; and
  • meeting legal or regulatory duties that apply to us.

The legal reason for using information depends on the purpose and the law that applies. Where consent is required, we will ask for it. In other cases, information may be used where reasonably necessary to operate or protect the site, respond to a request, or meet a legal obligation.

5

Contact messages

Contact messages are used to understand and respond to the enquiry. Please do not send passwords, payment details, medical information, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive information.

We may keep a message while it is reasonably needed to respond, keep necessary records, handle a dispute, prevent abuse, or meet a legal requirement. Messages that are no longer needed may be deleted.

6

Cookies and site technology

WordPress, hosting, security, or other essential site functions may use cookies or similar technology that are needed for the website to work, remember basic settings, or protect the site.

Froggity will not intentionally enable non-essential analytics or advertising cookies on the public site until their use has been reviewed, this policy has been updated where necessary, and any required consent controls are in place.

7

Analytics and advertising

At the time of this policy, Froggity is not stating that a particular advertising or analytics service is active. Before services such as analytics or advertising are enabled on the public site, we will review what information they use, how they are configured, and what privacy choices or notices are required.

Because Froggity is intended for children and families, any future advertising setup must be reviewed for child-directed content and privacy requirements before it is turned on.

This policy should describe the tools that are actually enabled on the live website. It will be updated when those tools materially change.
8

Service providers

Froggity may use companies that provide services needed to operate the website, such as hosting, security, backups, email delivery, or technical support. Those providers may process limited information as part of providing their service.

We do not give service providers permission to use personal information for unrelated purposes. Their own legal and privacy obligations may also apply to the services they provide.

Some providers may process information in countries other than the visitor’s country. Where the law requires specific safeguards for those transfers, we will use the safeguards that apply to the relevant service.

9

How long we keep information

We aim not to keep personal information longer than reasonably necessary for the reason it was received, for site security, for necessary records, or because the law requires it.

Different systems may keep information for different periods. For example, an email may be kept while an enquiry is active, while hosting or security logs may be kept according to the settings of the relevant service and later deleted or overwritten.

10

Security

We use reasonable steps intended to protect Froggity and the information handled through it. However, no website, email system, internet connection, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Please avoid sending information through Froggity that is not necessary for your enquiry.

11

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to know what personal information is held about you, obtain a copy, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, or make another privacy request.

If information is being used based on consent, you may also be able to withdraw that consent. Withdrawing consent does not normally change what was lawfully done before the withdrawal.

To make a request, email contact@froggity.com. We may need reasonable information to confirm the identity of the person making the request before providing or changing personal information.

If applicable law gives you the right to complain to a privacy or data-protection authority, you may also use that right. The appropriate authority will depend on where you live and which privacy law applies to your situation.

13

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Froggity changes, when new tools or providers are added, or when privacy requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will show when this page was revised.

If a change significantly affects how personal information is handled, we will provide any additional notice or choice required by applicable law.
